SEE THE DAW SESSION WITHOUT OPENING — Session Reader is a simple programme that runs in Safari as an HTML page on Apple (apologies to Windows users – perhaps later) and allows you to preview key session data, depending on the type of DAW you use.
Session Reader
See inside the session without opening it
A simple HTML app that allows you to view: sample rate, BPM, plugin list (with web links to the manufacturer), number of tracks, track names, audio previews of all audio tracks.
It only works on Mac and in Safari; other browsers are not currently supported.
Logic Pro
Tempo, key, time signature, sample rate, track names, plugin list (native + third-party), full audio pool with waveform playback.
Ableton Live
Tempo, key, time signature, version, track list, every device on every track, sample-rate mismatch detection, audio pool.
Cubase / Nuendo
Tempo, exact version, track list, every plugin in use across the session.
Pro Tools
Tempo, sample rate, track names, plugin list — drop the full session folder for the audio pool and waveform preview.
