VIEW THE DAW SESSION WITHOUT OPENING IT — Session Reader is a simple program that runs in Safari as an HTML page on Apple devices (apologies to Windows users—perhaps later) and lets you preview key session data, depending on the type of DAW you use.
Session Reader
View the contents of the session without opening it
A simple HTML app that lets you view: sample rate, BPM, plugin list (with web links to the manufacturer), number of tracks, track names, and audio previews of all audio tracks.
It only works on Mac and in Safari; other browsers are not currently supported.
Logic Pro
Tempo, key, time signature, sample rate, track names, plugin list (native and third-party), full audio pool with waveform playback.
Ableton Live
Tempo, key, time signature, version, track list, every device on every track, sample-rate mismatch detection, audio pool.
Cubase / Nuendo
Time, exact version, track list, every plugin used during the session.
Pro Tools
Time, sample rate, track names, plugin list — drag and drop the entire session folder to access the audio pool and waveform preview.
